What a perfect session, and one I wasn't expecting too. I was supposed to be working all day (8am-8pm) today, but I got a few things done a little faster than anticipated, and it was beginning to look windy. On top of which, the builders had put the fascia boards up on our house and they need painting over the weekend, so I had to get to the shops before they closed... All of which meant I had to cancel my final job, go to the shops and then go to the beach!!!

When I got there, the sun was shining the water was blue and the win was blowing onshore at 20 knots. I rigged my 5.7m sail as flat as I could and got straight out there. I was a little overpowered at first and started wishing I had rigged my 5m and my wave board, but things soon eased off a little and I was perfectly powered up, the sail felt perfect despite being rigged so flat, and I was able to blast out upwind through the surf getting some pretty big jumps, ot just weave in and out of the whitewater at full speed. It was one of those days where everything was just working perfectly and I could sail in almost any direction I wanted. After messing around for a while I headed off towards the bouy on the Bar, then sailed straight past it and played in the waves over the bar for a bit, then sailed off across to the other side of the estuary mouth, before heading off on a massive reach toward Borth. Once there, I turned around and had a mad, mad speed run back to the Golf Course Car Park. Totally maxed out and flying along on just the fin for about 3 miles wioth a huge grin on my face. It was just so fast, I just love going fast on lumpy water, it felt as thoughthe board was about to explode!!!

A couple fo guys then came out kite-surfing, so I messed around in the shorebreak for a while just so that O could blast past them every now and then, and eventually called it a day just as Chris turned up to go out with his kite.

Perfect!!
